Need More Space? Think Again.

Spread the love

Remember what it was like to move into a larger space? You know, like from a dorm room into an apartment? Or from an apartment to a home?

You had all this extra room and storage and your first thought was…”what am I going to do with all this space?”

And before you knew it, you had more stuff than you knew what to do with and wondering, “where did all this come from?!”

It’s only natural. You want furniture and decor to fill your rooms. And you finally have space for that hobby or office, so you bring in more things to fill those desires too.

But what about all that clutter that accumulates in the process?

And why does your stuff still barely fit, even though you have twice the storage?

It’s so annoying, isn’t it? I hate feeling like I don’t have enough storage or space and that I always need more, more, more!

Well, I’ve started playing this little “game” with myself that helps bring me back to reality. The reality that I really do have enough space. (And that I should make do with what I have!)

I tell you all about it in today’s vid about how to reconsider the way you use your space.

When you’re done watching, I’d love to know where you could put this idea to use in your home too. Stay accountable by letting me know in the comments below, my sweet.

As always, I couldn’t keep making these vids without you, so thank you mucho for your continuous support, shares and comments.

Remember, every small step you take is a big step toward change. Keep it up!

To being happy with what we have,
Mridu 🙂

I have found: keeping one drawer or cupboard empty in the kitchen is great for “crisis cleaning” – can throw everything into it if unable to actually pick up “properly” (and of course get back to it asap…) It comes in handy more often than I ever dreamed it would. Thanks for all the great info!

I have a drawer where I keep empty boxes in case I need a box, but I can easily toss the boxes. does that count?

That’s a great idea Sally! I have something sort of similar set up in my laundry room. Love knowing you have some space when you really need it! Thanks so much for sharing. 🙂 xo, mridu

Yes, it counts Charu. 😉 Just knowing that you have that room in case you need it helps you feel less constrained for space. Good job! xo, mridu
