How To Avoid Organizing Over And Over Again

Spread the love

I’ll be back from my fantabulous trip late tomorrow. Which means, buh-bye no schedules, sleeping in and staying out late. And hell-ooooo, daily grind. 😉

Actually, it really isn’t a bad thing.

I’m desperately missing my kids and hubby, and time away is making me yearn for my day-to-day routines with them.

There is something about wonderful about knowing what to expect everyday. In fact, the more in a routine that I am, the more I get things done.

The same goes for my home. The more I maintain certain rooms or spaces, the more I can get done throughout the rest of the house.

Probably because I don’t feel so overwhelmed when some areas simply remain “under control.”

I can’t wait to tell you the simple three steps I use to maintain my organized spaces – and I know they’ll work for you too.

After you’re done watching, here’s what I’d looooove to know from you:

  • Which tip could YOU use to help keep your spaces smooth sailing?

Be a sweetie and let me know in the comments.

Ok, I’m off for almost two days of travel to get back home. But it will be worth every minute. 🙂

Thank you so much for all your support my sweet friend!

Cheers to your peace and success,
Mridu

P.S. I’ll be back from my fabulous trip late tomorrow – so you’ll be hearing all about my FREE Power House workshop very soon. You can get in on it next week. Woo hoo!

Thanks for you great tips – always. I’m going to find ways to apply your tip about signals. I have a few spaces where this would work well. Makeup drawer, holiday storage and clothing

1. I routine organizing paperwork as bills come in, enter into checkbook and file. Cancelled most magazines, created file of mags interested in and visit library or view online once a month or so. Saves time, space, and recycling.
2. Haven’t done the calendar bit; however days off work are for catching up missed things I usually do every day. Plan to start (ugh) purging my craft/kitchen building this spring[Nothing out there for home decorating is coming back in-remodeling done (mostly). Going to enlist HELP and hopefully recycle!
3. The signal bit. I didn’t realized it but that’s what I’ve done with a few things. All clothes must be clean at least once a week (day off is catch up) and fit in closets and drawers, all books must fit bookcases, all what-nots and collections must fit designated areas. Incoming mail has a designated slot NOT on the kitchen counter, and an awesome double row commercial rack contains the mags we still get. All mags must fit this rack or it is purge time. Nothing over a year, six months, three months or the next sales paper edition. Junk mail goes straight to recycling, mail with personal information that is no longer need is shredded. It helps that our town recycles once a week on our trash pickup day.

I set up all my bills to be paid online thru my bank years ago. It saves a ton of time… I put all my bills in one bin and a letter holder for all current bills… Everything I pay off I hold that final “0” balance bill for 5 years in an organ folder… Also… Every booklet that comes with an appliance is placed beside the appliance in its storage area! Smooth sailing… I paid off several creditors and closed some accounts to reduce that stress of management in my life…
