Dealing With Emotional Stuff Easier

Spread the love

Do you have a hard time letting go of things? Feel like you’ll lose a part of yourself if you don’t keep an item?

If you’re nodding your head yes, you’re going to love today’s episode of LIO TV.

Even if you’re in the habit of decluttering, it can be hard to deal with the stuff you’re emotionally attached to. I’m constantly purging, yet letting go of certain things from my past is a struggle.

In today’s show you’ll learn the best way I know to attack these type of emotional items. And it’s not something I’ve talked about before.

One of my favorite things about these weekly videos is that I learn so much from you. I can’t wait to hear your valuable tips or ideas in the comments. I always take away some nugget of wisdom.

So after you’re done watching, what I’d love to know from you is:

  • What area are you going to commit to? AND
  • What has helped you part with items you’re emotionally attached to?

I can’t wait to hear your brilliance and honesty.

Thank you so much for being an amazing Lifer.

XO,
Mridu

P.S. If someone in your life struggles with parting with things they’re emotionally attached to, please send them this video. It might be the small spark they need to start taking action.

Well I’ve went the opposite on this one. I have my grandparents old bedframe. I am very attatched and at some point will be giving to my daughter. As my mother did me. So in order to do that I let go of a full bedroom set in order to have that bedroom empty for making my grandparents things to not only stay with me but can be used for our guests.

I saved my baby’s clothing but never ended up having another baby. I had saved it in my shed and the mice got into it. So after that I started even handing it down to friends and their boys could use it or selling it at resale shops.

Less paper! I’m starting with stacks of personal paper journals I kept over the years which I rarely look at. My plan is to read five pages a week for a start, then transfer any entries I need to my computer journal (making a backup). Then shred the pages. Thanks Mridu, for providing a game plan on this subject.

So many times we save stuff for that “what if” scenario, right? Glad you could finally hand them down to friends Chris. 🙂 Thanks for sharing. xo, mridu
